In the name of Cheap, I decided on these boots. I've gotten a pair of Wanted before and didn't love the fit, but I have hopes that these will. And I fell in love with the detail lacing on the back--enough so that I decided my winter boots didn't HAVE to be black (cognac is classy) and they didn't HAVE to be pull-on (zip up is good, too, right?) Yeah, totally compromised my original idea. Oh well.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this strange trend. While I prefer the Jessica Simpson Mazzey, I realize not everyone prefers the polished look. Therefore, I went hunting and found this alternative. (I still can't imagine what I'd wear it with for the life of me though.)

When I first saw this I thought it was dull. I didn't realize that was just the black version. Viewing the other two color schemes, I was much more impressed!
