Open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age or older as of January 15, 2010. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law. Contest begins Friday ,January 15, 2010 at 8:00 A.M. ET, and all entries must be received by 11:59 P.M. ET on Sunday, January 31, 2010. The winner will be selected within a week from the end of the contest.

HOW TO ENTER

1. Sign in or sign up on Shoehunting.com using our login form or the Facebook Connect button located in the header. 2. Find a pair of shoes you like from shop.bearpawshoes.com, paste the URL here and click continue:

3. Explain in the comments section how you "live life comfortably" in the winter months. Once submitted, entries become the sole property of Shoehunting.com. One entry will be chosen based on creativity of the comment, and the winner will get to choose a pair of Bearpaw boots from shop.bearpawshoes.com and receive them for free. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, interrupted, or unavailable network, server, or other connections, miscommunications, failed phone or computer hardware or software or telephone transmissions or technical failures, garbled or jumbled transmissions or other errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical, or electronic; including without limitation the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information online, or for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, stolen, misdirected, or illegible. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void.

SELECTION OF WINNER AND JUDGING CRITERIA

One winner will be selected based on creativity by the ShoeHunting.com staff and Bearpaw. The winner of the contest will be notified approximately one week after the closing of the contest, on or about February 7, via email. The winner of the contest will be posted on the Shoehunting blog, along with their boots and comment. By participating, entrants agree to the Official Rules and the decisions of the judges, which shall be final and binding in all respects.

CONTEST PRIZES

PRIZE

One winner will win a pair of Bearpaw Boots of their choice, from shop.bearpawshoes.com. Winner is solely responsible for any and all taxes on prize, as well as any and all expenses relative to participation in Shoehunting.com Contest (including acceptance of prize) not specified herein. Prizes will be awarded within approximately 60 days after selection of winner. No substitution allowed except at discretion of the Sponsor. Prizes are not transferable. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any and all prizes with prizes of equal or greater value, if an advertised prize becomes unavailable.

ELIGIBILITY

Contest is governed by U.S. law and is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are 18 years old or older as of January 15, 2010. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law. Employees or agents of the Mechmedia, Inc (Owner of Shoehunting.com), its parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising/promotional agencies and the employees, officers, directors and agents of any of the above organizations, and the members or the immediate family or those living in the same household of such individuals, are ineligible. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

First Place Winners may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and, where legal, a Publicity Release within seven (7) days of the date printed on the prize notification or be disqualified. Winner will be notified by mail, e-mail, or telephone and must respond within seven (7) days of attempted notification or be disqualified. If a prize is returned as undeliverable, potential winner will be disqualified. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, or suspend the contest should viruses, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor corrupt or impair the administration, security, or fairness of the contest. In such event, winner will be selected from all eligible entries received up to the time of such cancellation, termination, or suspension. Submission of an entry constitutes the irrevocable grant to Sponsor of all rights in the entry, all rights to publish, use, adapt, edit, and/or modify such entry in any way and in any and all media, without limitation, and without consideration or acknowledgment to the entrant and the unconditional right to use the photograph and statements about the promotion for advertising/publicity purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. By entering, participants release Mechmedia, Inc (owner of Shoehunting.com), affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising/promotional agencies, and the employees, officers, directors, and agents of the above organizations from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by participation in the contest or the acceptance, possession, or use/misuse of a prize or participation in any prize-related activities.
