No, you are not looking at a picture of Britney Spears from five years ago. This is, indeed, the real Brit Brit this past Sunday night at the MTV Video Music Awards.
In case you couldn't tell, Britney's back, bitch.
Brit Brit won the award for Best Pop Video, Best Female Video and Video of the Year for Piece of Me. Britney fully behaved herself and didn't freak out or stumble across the stage once! Methinks she's either off the drugs, or on some new really, really, good ones.
Britney showed off her toned body in a curve hugging Versace dress paired with some hot Versace shoes. This is a huge improvement compared to last year's incredible boots with the broken heel. Maybe she took my advice?
Heidi Montag, seen here with boyfriend/international douchebag of mystery Spencer Pratt (I say mystery because I have yet to determine what he does or why I should care about him), wore a pair of studded gladiator booties by Gucci. Despite my disdain for Montag and most of her ill-advised fashion choices, I kind of like the boots. A little bit elaborate, but still very chic.
Miley Cyrus, who arrived with a smokin' retro superhero-clad Katy Perry, chose to wear a pair of zipper gladiator heels by Michael Kors - a trendy style we've also seen from Christian Louboutin and Balenciaga. Whether or not Miley and Katy kissed in the limo on the ride there is still up for debate.
And last but never least, is the infamous Lindsay Lohan.
Linds looked superb in a satin purple dress that had the misfortune of zipper-ass pockets - almost as if she wants everyone to make jokes about easy access. She paired her outfit with a some purple heels by Yves Saint Laurent. The colour looks wonderful on her, and she doesn't look the least bit stoned - yet. These are the YSL "Tribute" sandal, which we've seen on many celebrities before, including Lindsay, who was last seen wearing a gold pair. I guess you can get hot, designer shoes in every colour if you're La Lohan.
What do you think of the shoes of the VMAs? Which are your favourites?
