Of course Gaga's wearing meat shoes. I mean, come on, what else would you wear with your meat dress? I enjoy Gaga's quirky theatrics, however, I'm thoroughly disgusted by this - I guess I prefer my meat dresses to be well done with some HP sauce. I felt sorry for Cher having to hold Gaga's - ahem - "meat wallet" while she accepted her award. Although, the completely unimpressed look on Cher's face while Gaga took the stage in this monstrosity was probably one of my favourite parts of the show. But back to the meat shoes. Obviously, her people wrapped up a pair of heels in meat like some satanic shoe fanatics making a sacrifice to their gods. But what shoes did they do this to? I hope they were cheap and ugly, because they're now fashionably detailed with the bacteria and maggots that thrive on unrefrigerated meat. Haute. Apparently, Gaga claimed the meat dress is symbolic of how gays and lesbians are treated in America. What about the treatment of cows in America? Where was P.E.T.A. when all this was going on?! Personally, I think it's symbolic of how excessive and wasteful American culture can be. People are starving in the world, and Gaga's walking on shoes made of steak. AND PROBABLY DESTROYING thus WASTING PERFECTLY HOT SHOES. I'm starting to miss her crazy Noritaka Tatehana heeless stilts. Thoughts? Dlisted
