Of course Gaga's wearing meat shoes. I mean, come on, what else would you wear with your meat dress?
I enjoy Gaga's quirky theatrics, however, I'm thoroughly disgusted by this - I guess I prefer my meat dresses to be well done with some HP sauce. I felt sorry for Cher having to hold Gaga's - ahem - "meat wallet" while she accepted her award. Although, the completely unimpressed look on Cher's face while Gaga took the stage in this monstrosity was probably one of my favourite parts of the show.
But back to the meat shoes. Obviously, her people wrapped up a pair of heels in meat like some satanic shoe fanatics making a sacrifice to their gods. But what shoes did they do this to? I hope they were cheap and ugly, because they're now fashionably detailed with the bacteria and maggots that thrive on unrefrigerated meat. Haute.
Apparently, Gaga claimed the meat dress is symbolic of how gays and lesbians are treated in America. What about the treatment of cows in America? Where was P.E.T.A. when all this was going on?! Personally, I think it's symbolic of how excessive and wasteful American culture can be. People are starving in the world, and Gaga's walking on shoes made of steak. AND PROBABLY DESTROYING thus WASTING PERFECTLY HOT SHOES. I'm starting to miss her crazy Noritaka Tatehana heeless stilts. Thoughts?

Ah, to be the airport security officer who has to deal with Lady Gaga...
Here's Gaga making her way through airport security in Vancouver the other day. Leave it to Gaga to wear a metal studded leather dress through a security checkpoint. Gaga had to go through quite a bit of examination in order to make it through security - I suppose the excuse, "I'm mother effing Lady Gaga" didn't work.
I'm fairly confident she's not a terrorist (but wouldn't that be a scathing tabloid headline) and any drugs on her person are probably in her person - as in, she's high - because why else would you wear metal studs through a metal detector? It must suck to be the person stuck behind her in line.
Gaga wore studs right down to her shoes, which were a towering pair of Christian Louboutin "Clou Noued" studded platform sling-backs:

I'm usually a fan of Louboutin and studs, however, I find these to be a little bit franken-hooker, if you will. I much prefer Louboutin's studded "Very Prive" to these. However, the drag-esque look of the Clou Noued" pumps is absolutely perfect for Gaga's style, agreed?

Well now. This isn't so surprising.
Here's the queen of bizarre/borderline dangerous shoe statements, Lady Gaga, falling on her ass in her unnervingly crazy shoes. At first I thought Gaga fell in those heeless "Night Makers" she's been wearing constantly for the past few months. Upon closer inspection, they're actually a single hooved sky-high platform also by Noritaka Tatehana - the Japanese designer behind Gaga's "Night Makers".
Whether or not she took a misstep in the super-high platforms or got caught on her chaps - which not only look like they're attached to the shoes, but also feature some kind of pant-cape - is unknown. The point is that it's nice to see some reality in Gaga's image - I have never believed for one second that she has never fallen in any of her bizarre, freakshow discotart heels. It's nice to see photographic evidence of such. And as I've said many times before, people falling is always funny. Especially famous people.

There are so many questions I'd like to ask Lady Gaga.
How long do you think it takes her to get ready in the morning? How many people does it take to wrap her up in her elaborate costuming? Does she ever have problems fitting through doorways? How long does it take her to get through Customs? How long until she runs out of crazy outfit ideas and just starts wearing Ugg boots and sweat pants (at that point she would be entering the "Britney Stage" of her career, I suppose)?
What is this outfit all about? Like, I dunno, is she a bride in mourning or something? Stevie Nicks at a funeral? Or is she some kind of Lady of the Night/Vampire Queen/Dark Mother type thing? Anyone who's listened to The Fame Monster knows that Gaga completely capitalized on the current vampire/werewolf/monster craze brought on by Twilight, which, in itself, was a genius marketing move - and I will admit, I do love "Teeth" despite how hard I tried to hate it. However, when is she going to bring something new? As an alleged "trendsetter", I'd like to see her give us something new rather than regurgitating an "artsy" (I'm using that term loosely) version of what's already popular in today's pop culture.
Gaga's wearing those crazy heeless heels we saw in the polaroids she recently tweeted. While they're similar to the Antonio Berardi heeless heels Victoria Beckham favours, Gaga Daily tells us these shoes, called "Night Makers", are by Japanese designer Noritaka Tatehana. These crazy heels look waaaaay crazier than the Antonio Berardi models! Look at this photo of Gaga's foot; it makes me question the stability of this shoe:

These must kill the ball of your foot. I'd love to try them out, just once. I'd probably pair it with a unitard, or cape and possibly a utility belt. Failing that, a lobster hat. Anything to match the craziness of the shoes! Sexy! What do you think?

When Lady Gaga first started showing up in photos wearing things like this and this, I often wondered if she had a propensity for losing bets. Since then, I've realized that this isn't the case. Oh no, there's no bets involved. This bitch is just batsh*t crazy. Example:
There you have it, people. The most unflattering outfit imaginable. This ensemble successfully makes GaGa look stumpy, hippy and in serious need of a tailor. It's what I imagine they'd make you wear in fashion hell, while Anna Wintour calls you fat and Donatella Versace roasts you with a tanning lamp. (For the record, I'm aware that neither Anna Wintour nor Donatella Versace are dead, but I've heard Satan's down with Prada, and Donatella looks like she's been dead for years.)
What's worse is that GaGa chose to wear calf-hi boots with this monstrosity. These boots, from Pleaser USA's "Xtreme" series, cut GaGa off in all the wrong spots. The height of the boot shaft mixed with the jumpsuit's capri length create horrible proportions that make GaGa look stumpy - despite the Xtreme's super-high platforms.
GaGa's obviously a big fan of these boots, as this certainly isn't the first (or second, or third) time I've seen her wearing them. This is certainly my least favourite outfit she's paired with them. And by least favourite, I mean it makes me feel like gouging out my eyes with a shoe horn. Thoughts?

It took me a little while to figure out what was going on in this picture. At first, I thought Lady Gaga lost a bit of her weave and it was caught on her shoes. Then I thought that maybe it was part of a giant ponytail (I know a giant ponytail sounds stupid, but this is a woman who wore a lobster on her head, so anything's possible). Eventually, I realized that, in actuality, Lady Gaga's boots have their own weave. Of course they do! Why wouldn't you want fake hair streaming down your calves, tripping you as you walk and picking up every stray piece of chewed gum you walk over? It's just, y'know - screw this, I can't even joke about it anymore. YOUR BOOTS HAVE HAIR, GAGA. Blond hair, with roots, like it was ripped out of Britney's weave while she was looking the other way, drooling over a frappuccino. It's not artistic, it's stupid. And ugly. Go back to the lobster hat. To your boots I say, get a hair cut, ya hippie.
Gaga's boots also feature a split toe, which leads me to believe they're probably by Maison Martin Margiela. I hate these boots. They make everyone (especially Sarah Jessica Parker) look like a horse, or centaur, or some kind of earthly manifestation of Lucifer himself. TOES ARE NOT SEXY. This is why we wear shoes. Thoughts?

Turns out he was right.

Life can't be that great for this intrepid crustacean, who's life on land consists of being a bedazzled headpiece for Lady Gaga. Everything's better down where it's wetter!
I'm not sure where Gaga's going with this outfit, whether it be another tribute to the late Alexander McQueen and his elaborate designs, or if Gaga's now Queen of the Crab People. Maybe she just likes demanding that all restaurants and other such establishments that enjoy the media benefits of Gaga's presence have a 7 foot clearance.
Gaga's paired her latest ensemble with some glittery lucite platforms by Georgio Armani - the same house that designed her Grammy outfit. While I can't say that these are the type of shoes I'd wear out and about, I like them for the simple fact that they look like what Cinderella would wear if her fairy godmother turned her into some kind of enchanted hooker. When the clock strikes midnight, all Prince Charming is left with is a fabulous, sparkly, lucite clodhopper. And possibly chlamydia.

And for the record, yes, she is wearing a see-through plastic dress. Maybe she's planning on going clamming later on to find herself some earrings. Thoughts on Gaga's platforms and sea creature obsession?

Twenty-nine year old Viek from Beijing has got to be the coolest person in the world with too much time on their hands.
Viek has crafted some interesting Barbie doll ensembles - all based on some of Lady Gaga's most famous - or infamous - outfits. I haven't felt the desire to play with Barbie in years, but I've suddenly gotten the urge to doll her up in a one piece unitard, ridiculous sunglasses and a giant hair-bow.

Gaga Barbie's style creations also include an awesome pair of Barbie-sized, Alexander McQueen armadillo heels! Now that's far more interesting than the standard, pink plastic heels - it's like Barbie started doing heavy drugs, hanging out in drag clubs and sold her soul to the paparazzi. Gaga Barbie would be a great compliment to the heels Louboutin designed to celebrate her 50th birthday - as the real Lady Gaga has been known to favour Loubs from time to time.

So Lady Gaga's hair is a parasol and she's wearing some hideously shoulder padded see-through frock. YAWN. This outfit does nothing but make me crave a piña colada.
All this is pretty tame for Gaga. Even the 6" Yves Saint Laurent pumps are a bit muted. I do love the sleek, patent leather look of these shoes, and while walking around in 6" stilettos can prove to be a daunting task, this is a woman whom wore the Alexander McQueen armadillo shoe - these YSL's probably feel like ballet flats for Gaga!

Lady Gaga's good to go!
While it's very hard to tell in this photo, it looks as though Gaga's strolling around in a pair of ballet fetish shoes. That's the only reasonable explanation for why it looks as though she's casually walking around on her tippy toes like a naughty ballerina.
With the exception of Beyoncé and her brave dancers in the "Green Light" video, I have never seen anyone attempt to wear these shoes for, shall we say, vertical purposes. Even Christian Louboutin, whom designed a pair with filmmaker David Lynch, admits that walking in these shoes proves to be very difficult. Lady Gaga's look a wee bit more tame than Beyoncé's or Louboutin's, but ridiculous nonetheless. I suppose living one's life as a walking experiment in pop art may cause nasty blisters and sore arches.

Recently, I wrote a post about Lady GaGa in Yves Saint Laurent "Imperiale" pumps, which feature a very off-beat shape. One reader made the excellent point that while the unique shape of the YSL "Imperiale" pump would stand out on most, Lady Gaga's, shall we say, "off beat", style seemed to make them look like a normal pump. To further exemplify that point, here's a new outfit that Lady Gaga matched with the YSL pumps:

In the case of many celebrities, a shoe like this may be too much for them to pull off. However, it seems that Lady Gaga may just be too much for the shoe. And possibly this planet. Shockingly, Gaga chose to wear pants this time - a stark contrast to her normal anti-pants policy. While I don't doubt that Lady Gaga's out of her mind, whether she's wearing vampire teeth or the remains of slaughtered muppets, at least she's never boring.

Well, thank the lord! I can rest easy now that I know that Lady GaGa's super hideous cream coloured thigh boots are also available in an ankle boot version:
Paired with what looks to be what gay stormtroopers would wear in a musical version of Star Wars, these are not nearly as offensive as those baffling thigh highs - however, they're still incredibly ugly. They don't even look comfortable - the look on her face is saying "My feet hurt, somebody get me a shiny young man to carry me." Is this what drag queens wear to go hiking? I'm baffled. Why anybody would need - nay, want - two pairs of boots like these is beyond me. Lady GaGa is certainly some deliciously bad crack flavoured fashion statement. What do you think?

Where do I even begin with this mess? I love thigh high boots - they always look sleek and sexy. These, however, look like something a porn star would wear to play rugby - well suited for running in the mud and seducing the opposing team's fullback, should the need arise. To put it simply: THEY'RE UGLY. They're clunky and do not compliment the pantless fashion endeavor covering her torso at all.
