I'm tall as it is, and while I don't mind hiking it up a bit, I like the 1-inch better. I'm not a huge fan of wedges (unless you pair it with just EXACTLY the right outfit). A covered wedge is the perfect way to get the look of a flat boot with the legginess of wearing a heel or wedge! I'd wear these boots with a long-sleeved, slightly-above-the-knee length dress in a fun fall color, with a scarf to match the boot. Contrasting tights will pull the outfit together for a fantastic look!
I am going with the flat boots because I am already 5'11" and tower over everyone so I try to not be taller then I already am. The otehr reasons I choose these boots is because they look very comfy. I would wear my denim jeans with these matched with a shirt that that had some fall colors with a scraf.
Truthfully I love them both- but THIS beauty appeals to me in a very " Robyn of the Hood " sort of vibe that will not be denied. leggings ( as I negotiate the perils of Sherwood Forest )Jeans as I dazzle the world w/ my fashion- derring do-skirts because I'm 5'9 and and I love that look-- I see me rocking 'em to the breaka breaka dawn!!
I prefer this one because although I love my heels every now & then, flats are much comfortable. I would wear these with black denim leggings, a flowy tunic & a motorcycle leather jacket with lots of asymmetrical zipper detailing. I love the buckle strap on this boot. Definitely a trend for Fall 09.
I prefer the nevin over the mallory for a many reasons. I am totally a high heel girl and would probably end up buying the higher pair too. BUT, in these times, you have to be practical. So,the flats are a definite first choice for anyone. Whether you have a vintage outfit, you want to UPDATE,or need a special pair of boots to go with your smashing new find. This pair is the best choice. From jeans to leggings to make you look long, lean & chic( cuffs up/down or you choose a long/short skirt. You have many options. You also have comfortable boots(w/o heels) if it is a long day into night; holidays, an after office night out (No need to change shoes!). ANDif you are traveling, ( packing ONE great pair w/ which creates so many looks in your suitcase, instead of several pairs of shoes/boots. Saves$$$$$$$ on your luggage fees in either suit case,or heavier roll-on ( maybe free but it gets heavy to cart around.)Better yet wear those comfortable things on the plane or drive, that go with anything and save space for the things you buy while you travel! LH
From San Francisco to Paris I walk everywhere. Packing lighly I carry boots and shoes that are versitle yet funky and fun, but also comfy. Leggings, skinny jeans and my vintage skirts and dresses ( long or above knee length)would all look fab with these. Add a scarf, antique jewelry or leather jacket and play the look down and up. Bring them on!
I am in desperate need for a pair of flat "over the knee" boots! I have several pairs of high heel boots already, and find these look best with the numerous pairs of leggings to go with! I also live in New England, so I know can stretch these right out into May. How great would these look with a nice mini dress!!?? Pick me! PIck me!
My friend LOVES boots and she has gotten me hooked on them too! However, I'm a bit of a clutz and on top of that have bad leg joints - so heels are not the best choice for me! :) That's why I love the flat boots! This same friend has also gotten me into skinny jeans - but I have no boots to wear with them! I think I would mostly wear the boots with the skinny jeans, but also with skirts for the MANY bachelorette parties I have coming up!
I love these boots! They are especially a great color. They are a rich chocolate brown that will go perfect with my long dk. chocolate brown coat, a pair of skinny jeans and tunic. Add a scarf, some cool earrings, and I will be the talk of the town. I like boots with heels, but due to problems with my feet I can't wear them and it's so hard to find the great boots with flat heels, as they always have high heels! Thanks for a fashionable flat boot!
I prefer the Malory boot over the Nevin boot because I think that it would be neat to have this style of boot if I had to choose because first of all I don't own a pair of flat boots. I think that they would be a very new and chic look me because I only wear heels. I would wear them with a number of things such as my skinny jeans teamed with a nice sweater/tunic as well as leggings. Sweater dresses with bold accessories would also be nice. If I had Malory boot, I would make the brand proud by looking "PHENOMENAL" in every step I take!
I prefer the Mallory boot-I am a college professor at a small college located in a small, rural Applachian town. Flat-heels are perfect for climbing the mountains to get to the college on the hill to teach class. Glenville State College in Glenville, WV is located on a mountain. The boots are PERFECT to wear as I stamp out ignorance. :)
Pick me!!
I LOVE this boot. Most of my boots are high-heels, so I would love a change. I would wear it with tuck-in skinny jeans or leggings and a long sweater or tunic, scarf, and unstructured hobo bag. I would also wear it with a soft, feminine dress with a leather jacket and a scarf. Sort of a mix of tough and girly.
I love this boot! It is preferred over the other one for a number of reasons, even though they are both cute. First, I love how they do not have a heel. This means they would be comfortable enough to wear to to my college classes, shopping, or to work. Also, I love how they have the fold at the top. It makes it have an extra touch of style and adds something to the overall look. Next, I love the little buckle that even further accessorizes the shoe. These boots would be completely perfect for me to wear with a dress and tights, skinny jeans and a cardigan, or a cute skirt. My friends and I have been looking for a pair of boots just like this, and if I won I would wear them everywhere as well as tell all my friends where they can find these adorable shoes.
As a mom living in Alaska heels can be tough when hauling around a toddler over snow and ice, that's why I prefer this style (although I really do love them both). I'd likely wear it with anything from my skinny jeans and a cute sweater and scarf to a skirt with some leggings and a long-sleeved top. But honestly, I could wear them with anything! They are super cute!
I prefer the Mallory Boot (flat heel) because I'm relatively tall. Since I work in the fashion industry (which I must "represent" at all times), I stand on my feet for long hours, and flats are definitely more practical to my needs. Outside of my work place, I would still prefer the flat heel due to comfort wherever I am and whatever I'm doing at the time. From home, to work, to a night out on the town, or even holidays, the Mallory Boot is so tastefully opulent in richness of design and ornamentation. As Paris Hilton phrased... IT'S HOT!!! These boots are so hi-fashion, and chic, and sexy, and versatile, and... They can be paired with the flavor of your day, whether it be casual or dressy. I would outfit the Mallory boots with tights and a beautifully fitted sweater dress, or maybe tights with a short skirt, sweater and scarf. And of course I can't forget my skinny jeans, with a soft flowing tunic. If I'm feeling a bit edgy on the wild side, I'll throw on a leather vest or jacket. And finally to complete my look, accessories to match my "flavor for the day". Yes I'd so love to win these Mallory Boots. They are amazing!!!!! P.S. - My birthday is 11-10. What an incredible birthday present the Mallory Boots would be...
Happiness is: tall boots! I love both pair of boots, but would probably choose this one for the practical purposes of healthier feet and the fact that we have a lot of ice here in the Midwest, and I fear walking on ice in heels. If I had these boots, I would definitely wear them with some skinny-jeans, a hip-length tank, a long non-heavy sweater on top of the tank, and one of my myriad of scarves. Then show off my boots while shopping and cafe-ing downtown. ;-D Thank you for this opportunity!
I LOVE this boot! I prefer these to the Nevin boots because of their flat heel. I am pretty tall, and I am always afraid that if I wear a heel with an OTK boot, it would just be too intense, so I would love to try this trend out with a flat boot. And these are so beautiful! I would wear them with some thick tights and this cute tan sweater dress that I have. One of the great things about these are that you can wear them with basically anything. Dresses, with or without tights, jeans, pants. They can be dressed up or down! I am keeping my fingers crossed!
I'd choose this over Via Spiga Nevin because I think it would be a little more versatile than the high heeled version. I would also be able to wear the flat boot more often - I could wear it and look fashionable and still be comfortable while bringing the kids to school, running errands, shopping, etc. I would wear this with skinny jeans and tunics, sweater dresses and leggings, leggings and tunics...really, there isn't much this boot wouldn't go with!
I love the classic style of the Malory! It's so fun, sexy, and versatile. Pair them with skinny jeans, leggings, or a skirt and all eyes are guaranteed to be on you! And the 1" wedge heel makes them perfect for all day wear! The buckle just further enhances the charisma this boot has! I'd love to own a pair! Thanks VS!!!
