Spotted: Givenchy gladiator boot on Tyra and her 11th cycle minions

Filed under: ANTM, Givenchy, Tyra Banks

The gladiator trend is exploding. Thus, it only makes sense for Tyra Banks to jump on board and whore it out just a little bit more:This is the first promo shot for America’s Next Top Model cycle 11. Ty Ty went with a hippie-dippie flower child theme - some kind of high fashion production of Hair, only the blissed out stoners are replaced by catty gay men. It says “Feel the Love” on the top, but you just know Jay Manuel and Tyra want to claw eachother’s botoxed eyes out.Tyra, and a few of the model contestants as well, are wearing the Givenchy gladiator boot, previously seen on Rihanna. I’m not a huge fan of this boot, but they look quite nice in this shoot, particularly the soft, green colour. Tyra is definitely working these boots, but that’s her job - she’s a model. Maybe she could teach Rihanna how to wear these puppies - and those god-awful Balenciaga boots. What do you think?

Rachel Bilson expresses her love of cankles with shoes by Martin Margiela

Rachel Bilson was on the OC, which is now defunct. Why anyone still cares about her is beyond me. Maybe it’s her baffling love of cankle-inducing footwear:Seriously, what the hell are those? They’re almost shoes, almost sandals, almost boots and they’re almost giving me a hernia just looking at them. What would possess someone to put these on their feet? If you doubt the awesome fug of these things, check out the side view:IT LOOKS LIKE SHE HAS PAPER BAGS STUCK ON HER SHOES. Even Rachel looks like she’s looking down at them thinking, “Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea. This is what happens when you agree to wear something just because it’s designer. You end up being the skinniest girl to ever have cankles.”I hate to admit it Rachel, but you’re right. For those wondering, these booties are by Maison Martin Margiela and cost close to $600. I don’t care if the Pope designed them out of the Shroud of Turin, I would still never spend that amount on something like these. Thoughts?Socialite Life

…Look at Lindsay’s YSL “Tribute” heels after her dress stops burning your retinas

Here’s the happy couple, Lindsay Lohan and Sam Ronson, at a Sephora event the other night. SamRo is rocking her regular style, while Linds looks like she stole a fedora from the “Smooth Criminal” video after taking a swan dive into Tina Turner’s closet. Is the shiny rainbow dress a reference to her newfound lesbianism, her metaphorical swan dive out of the closet? We get it, Linds; you’re here, you’re queer and you’re about two inches from an exposed nether region. Honestly, are we sure she isn’t just wearing a shirt with no pants for easy access?Lindsay wore a pair of the insanely popular Yves Saint Laurent “Tribute” heels. This patent platform mary jane has been seen on various famous feet, from Posh Beckham to Gwen Stefani to Kylie Minogue. To rock this style without spending tons of cash, try the BCBGirls “Buffy”:This platform, patent leather style looks sexy with anything, from pants to dresses, or shiny shirts you’re trying to pass off as a dress. The YSL “Tribute” Platform Dlisted

Yay or nay: Givenchy gladiator boot

Many major designers and fashion houses have jumped on the gladiator trend, including Giuseppe Zanotti, Dolce Vita and Balenciaga. Givenchy designed a captivating gladiator style bootie, that we’ve seen on Heidi Montag and Cassie, just to name a few. Today I stumbled upon these from Givenchy, which seems to be their answer to the Balenciaga full-blown gladiator boot:

Lindsay Lohan turns 22 in Louboutin “Zipette”; no reports of DUIs, alcohol poisoning or stolen fur coats

Lindsay Lohan turned the big twenty-two yesterday. If you felt the Earth vibrate last night, it was probably the vibrational fallout from this party girl’s shindig. I was going to send her a present, but apparently they don’t let you send a cocaine and adderall in the mail.

The Fall 2008 Louis Vuitton runway featured many boys walking hither and thither in spacey motorcycle helmets, like Darth Vader sashaying around the Death Star. This is as a result of Marc Jacobs designing a damier patterned motorcycle boot and matching helmet:

Hardware and haute couture: Loewe’s surreal shoes

Excuse me. I think you have a lightbulb stuck to your heel.

These beautiful suede pumps are from Spanish fashion house Loewe. I love the combination of a retro style pump with a quirky, lightbulb heel. Loewe creative director Stuart Vevers used the country of Spain itself as an inspiration for his new collection, with Salvador Dali-like surrealism as a stimuli for these unique and stylish heels. Vevers also created this fantastic screwdriver t-strap heel:

Louboutin and Lynch’s kinky shoes

Yes, those are red soles. Yes, they are Christian Louboutins. Yes, they are making my feet hurt just looking at them.

These are fetish ballet shoes, as designed by Louboutin. You may recognize the style from the Beyonce video “Green Light”. This style of fetish shoe has been around for a while, but has gained popularity recently. These shoes are solely for fetish purposes, and as even Christian Louboutin will admit, you cannot walk in them comfortably. These rare Louboutins can be seen at the Pierre Passebon Gallery, in an exhibit called “Fetish” created by Louboutin and director David Lynch.

Mariah Carey enjoys abusing Louboutins with freakishly high-waisted booty shorts

Mimi just seems to love her Christian Louboutin mary janes. We spotted her wearing them the other day, and here she is again, strutting her diva stuff in them. I don’t blame her one bit. They look to be the Louboutin “Mad Mary” mary jane, that boasts a 5″ plus stiletto heel. We’ve seen these puppies on Madonna, so they’re obviously perfect for a diva! What I want to know is why she feels it neccessary to pair such a beautiful shoe with an outfit like this:

MK Olsen wears Louboutins with Chanel nighties

Fashionista? Or troll on safari?

I had to check three times before it finally sunk in that this is, in fact, MK Olsen, and not Ashley. Despite my deep running fear of these twin trolls, I’m usually quite good at telling them apart. However, the straightened hair and Chanel suit threw me for a loop.
