Here’s the happy couple, Lindsay Lohan and Sam Ronson, at a Sephora event the other night. SamRo is rocking her regular style, while Linds looks like she stole a fedora from the “Smooth Criminal” video after taking a swan dive into Tina Turner’s closet. Is the shiny rainbow dress a reference to her newfound lesbianism, her metaphorical swan dive out of the closet? We get it, Linds; you’re here, you’re queer and you’re about two inches from an exposed nether region. Honestly, are we sure she isn’t just wearing a shirt with no pants for easy access?Lindsay wore a pair of the insanely popular Yves Saint Laurent “Tribute” heels. This patent platform mary jane has been seen on various famous feet, from Posh Beckham to Gwen Stefani to Kylie Minogue. To rock this style without spending tons of cash, try the BCBGirls “Buffy”:
This platform, patent leather style looks sexy with anything, from pants to dresses, or shiny shirts you’re trying to pass off as a dress.

I love Lindsay Lohan more and more everyday. I’m close to being the president of her frekin’ fan club. And I like her even more now that she’s a lesbian! Just look at Sam and Linds together! Do they not look like the cutest, happiest power lesbian couple in the universe? Like they will have a beautiful life, with beautiful lesbian-raised children, concieved with the sperm of some rediculously famous male, who’s identity will be kept secret from the public until they do a big cover story with Rolling Stone? I can’t wait.
As I’ve said before, I also love Lohan for her often regretable - but always interesting - fashion choices. Case in point: Leggings. Lindsay Lohan defined the 2000-era legging craze - a trend that I hate - but I also respect her ability to take such an obviously horrible trend and shove it down our throats like Starbuck’s-flavoured ecstasy, if not only for the reason that I get to write about it. For example:

I would absolutely love to raid Dita Von Teese’s shoe closet. She’s always wearing such wonderful heels. Like these. Or these. Or these:

Mimi just seems to love her Christian Louboutin mary janes. We spotted her wearing them the other day, and here she is again, strutting her diva stuff in them. I don’t blame her one bit. They look to be the Louboutin “Mad Mary” mary jane, that boasts a 5″ plus stiletto heel. We’ve seen these puppies on Madonna, so they’re obviously perfect for a diva! What I want to know is why she feels it neccessary to pair such a beautiful shoe with an outfit like this:

Here’s famous twin/fashion hobo Mary-Kate Olsen on the left with her sister. Come November, Ashley and MK will be releasing a coffee table book about the people by whom they are influenced. Titled Influence, the book will feature many designers, artists and photographers. No word yet if Bob Saget made the cut.
Many people would argue that MK’s style is a little “sloppy”. Though I do find her look to be a wee bit disheveled for my tastes, I do see the bohemian influence in her style, and I wonder if Janis Joplin, from whom I imagine MK’s style derives, will be mentioned in Influence.

Is neon in again? If so, why? Do people not remember 1991? Do we not remember individuals walking around looking like bicycle reflectors? Here’s Rihanna during Paris Fashion Week. She sported some powerfully neon platforms that are currently burning my retinas. At least she knows that she will not be hit by any cars, seeing as the driver could see her shoes from about three miles away.
If this shoe looks familliar to you, it’s because it is another version of the Giambattista Valli “Victoria” shoe. I much prefer MK Olsen’s black suede version. I know neon is kind of Rihanna’s thing, but it’s seriously unflattering. One of the things I liked about MK’s shoes was that they didn’t look clunky, despite the size of the shoe. Rihanna’s neon accented shoes look clunky, loud and possibly contaminated by radioactive waste.

I shouldn’t imply that Lindsay is using drugs. She claims to be clean, and if chasing a woman down the street in her car while high out her mind on cocaine isn’t enough to clean her up, then I’m not sure what would. However, you don’t wear a dress like this without the use of some kind of powerful psychedelic:

The Olsen twins scare the bejesus out of me.

They always have that expressionless, non-smiling look on their face as if they’re robots, or aliens, or trying to burn holes into my soul with their DEAD EYES. That’s why I like this picture of Mary-Kate Olsen. Sure, she looks like an eighty year old blind woman, but at least I can’t see those big eyes that once belonged to Michelle Tanner, and now belong to Hollywood.

Here’s Lindsay, looking fabulous. I believe this is what’s known as Lindsay’s “blue steel” face.
This photo was taken at a Dolce & Gabbana show, where Lindsay modeled her best Dolce & Gabbana duds. Her shoes are a black, platform mary jane with peep toes - and this their third appearance on Shoehunting.com.

Here’s Madonna at the Berlin Film Festival, where she debuted Filth and Wisdom, a short film she directed. You wanna know what? The movie apparently isn’t horrible. I’m glad Madonna has finally figured out that she’s more use to us behind the camera than in front of it. The only time I want to see Madonna in front of the camera is if she’s singing and dancing on a gondola, kissing black saints, or wearing cone bras. She’s a smart lady, blessed with a keen business sense, but God knows that I can’t sit through another movie like Swept Away or Body of Evidence or The Next Best Thing, because the next best thing would be someone WHO CAN ACT.

Here’s Fergie on her way to a Marc Jacobs show at NYC Fashion Week. I don’t quite know what kind of statement she’s trying to make with her outfit, but the blue mumu thing isn’t working for me. It’s not very flattering on her at all. It doesn’t show off Ferg’s fit body - I cannot see her humps, her humps, her lovely lady lumps. Neither in the back nor in the front. She’s looking quite the mess in this photo - her outfit says “I love Matlock” while her face says “Pass the bong.”
