Paris Hilton and Benji Madden’s media fame train must be more powerful than I give them credit for. I almost forgot about Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, whom I hold responsible for Paris and Benji’s sickening media presence, and thus are responsible for Paris Hilton NEVER GOING AWAY.

Last week, the infamous Lohan/Calum Best sex tape surfaced to the internet masses. After much debate, it was confirmed that the tape was, indeed, a fake. However, it appears that Lindsay was the last to know, as Linds was overheard bellowing over Calum Best’s voicemail:
Here’s Mary-Kate Olsen at a John Galliano show in Paris. Looking at this picture reminds of how my mother always thought the Olsen twins looked like treasure trolls. Maybe Lucy Lui is about to rub the jewel in her belly for luck.
Mary-Kate and Lucy Lui are looking quite fashionable, in different ways. Each has their own personal style, and this picture shows the contrast between the two. I don’t care for the furry thing around Lui’s neck, or the oversized Louis Vuitton leopard scarf around MK’s neck, but each style choice is a good representation of their fashion personality. This is the absolutely gorgeous Jennifer Connelly at the Reservation Road premiere. Her unique look is straight off the Balenciaga runway. Note the black and white gladiator heels that Connelly is sporting. This ensemble is from Balenciaga’s spring 2008 collection, of which I am not a huge fan. I find the styles to be something appropriate for schizophrenic florists. However, the always stunning Connelly pulls it off, with her demure look contrasting against the bold patterns.
I could never wear those shoes, as I find looking at them has seizure inducing effects. However, MICHAEL by Michael Kors has made a more modest gladiator type heel for the rest of us:
The times of gladiator heroes has been making its way back into popularity for a couple of years now. I do not think it is just because Brad Pitt naked bum was on the big screen during Troy, either. First the gladiator times influenced fashion by flowy dresses. Now, they are influencing our footwear.
Mary-Kate Olsen wears a pair of black Channel gladiator shoes. In fact, the same style has been worn by Hayden Panettiere and Kate Hudson. Also, these shoes are really popular in Europe.
