This past spring and summer, actress Gwyneth Paltrow gained a reputation for wearing killer high heels - many of which reached as high as seven inches, like these by Guiseppe Zanotti.

Heels have been getting higher and higher over the past year, with super high heels from Chanel that caused models to tumble down the runway, and the “Victoria” platform from Giambattista Valli - named for, of course, Victoria Beckham. Not surprising for a woman who teeters around on shoes like these.

I would be lying if I said I didn’t have a soft spot for Christina Aguilera. Xtina’s electro-pop influenced performance at the 2008 MTV VMAs was one of my personal highlights. The girl can sing, and even though I’m not a huge fan of her hooker make-up, she generally looks super-hot.

Diva Xtina was spotted at a Rock the Vote event in LA the other night, and I love her go-go inspired look. I adore the simple black and white dress - reminiscent of the famous “Stupid Girl” dress once worn by Shirley Manson. The leather tall boots really complete the look. Here’s Posh in Manchester promoting her fashion line. She looked quite heavenly in a white Giambattista Valli dress that made her appear to have angel wings when looking front on. When she turned around however, it was revealed that Posh’s dress had a white fur back. A girl’s gotta look fabulous while she’s hiking through the arctic tundra!

I think the dress is lovely from the front, but I’m not sure how I feel about the back view. It looks a little unflattering and puts images in my head of Posh Backham clubbing baby harp seals with Christian Louboutin shoes, then tossing them in a Louis Vuitton carry all. Posh is, indeed, wearing Louboutins - although I’m not entirely sure that she clubbed any baby seals with them. These sky-high pumps look fantastic with the dress, and even with a back as furry as Robin Williams, Posh pulls this look off.

Here’s Alexis Bledel at the premiere for the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants 2. Alexis looks very sleek and stylish in this ruffly one-shoulder dress. I would probably hate if it weren’t for the fact that this girl seems to actually make this unique style work.

Alexis paired her dress with a pair of strappy black heels by Alaia. I love the look of these heels. Just elaborate enough to compliment the dress, while still being reserved enough not to overwhelm her look.

Yes, those are red soles. Yes, they are Christian Louboutins. Yes, they are making my feet hurt just looking at them.

These are fetish ballet shoes, as designed by Louboutin. You may recognize the style from the Beyonce video “Green Light”. This style of fetish shoe has been around for a while, but has gained popularity recently. These shoes are solely for fetish purposes, and as even Christian Louboutin will admit, you cannot walk in them comfortably. These rare Louboutins can be seen at the Pierre Passebon Gallery, in an exhibit called “Fetish” created by Louboutin and director David Lynch.

Annie certianly got smart with this outfit

Here’s Anne Hathaway at the Get Smart premier in Los Angeles. Hathaway, who plays sassy Agent 99 in the classic TV remake, wore a stunning charcoal coloured dress to the event. Although the bottom half of the dress looks a wee bit like it was designed by Jim Henson, I actually like it. She looks quite smart and sophisticated in this unique dress. Annie pulls off this style rather well. Maybe it’s the doe eyes and flawless smile? Damn her.

Mimi just seems to love her Christian Louboutin mary janes. We spotted her wearing them the other day, and here she is again, strutting her diva stuff in them. I don’t blame her one bit. They look to be the Louboutin “Mad Mary” mary jane, that boasts a 5″ plus stiletto heel. We’ve seen these puppies on Madonna, so they’re obviously perfect for a diva! Idol Gives Back took place the other night, featuring performances from a whole slew of artists, including Fergie.
