As we’ve talked about before, lucite, plastic and PVC are all huge shoe trends for Spring 2010. This of course means that jelly shoes will be making a big comeback…
Here’s the trend in action on Anne Hathaway. These shoes always remind me of being eight years old and getting horrible blisters. In a way, I do miss the simplicity of these shoes – it almost looks like Anne’s not wearing any shoes at all. I definitely like Anne’s jelly shoes far better than the Givenchy jelly shoes we saw a couple years ago.
Anne’s simple but stylish casual outfit suits her jellies quite well, but It’s still going to take me some time to warm up to the jelly shoe trend. I’m still associating them with parachute pants and hyper-colour t-shirts. What do you think?
