I can’t say that I find Leighton Meester terribly intriguing, nor am I too interested in her supposed “singing career”. In fact, just the other day, I was watching MuchMusic with some friends. Cobra Starship’s “Good Girls Go Bad” came on, a song of which I’ve regrettably heard plenty of times – most of those times while I was in fine establishments that serve strong drinks, which kept me unaware of the fact that there is a female singer in said song. Leighton Meester shows up on the screen, and I say, “Hey, is that Blake Lively?”
After laughing at my ignorance, my friends informed me that it was not Blake Lively, but, as they put it, “that other gossip girl with the weird name”. I don’t particularly care for Cobra Starship, or good girls who may or may not have gone bad, or actresses with fleeting singing careers, and I’m obviously no Gossip Girl connoisseur. What I do know is that girl’s got some great shoes:
Leighton wore a pair of Derek Lam shoes to Tao Nightclub the other night where she performed a four song set. I love these shoes, they look great with the flirty dress. Much of Lam’s spring/summer collection featured trendy lace-up sandals, like the Derek Lam “Dylan”, which is available through Shoehunting.
