Delta Goodrem teaches us how not to wear gold with the Louis Vuitton “Cancan” thigh boot; possibly has cybernetic legs

I’m not quite sure who Delta Goodrem is. However, her outfit is making me hear Joan Rivers’ shrill nagging voice as Dot Matrix in Spaceballs:

Delta Goodrem: 3-CPO called, he wants his legs back

Them’s some intergallactic hooker boots! They’re certainly eye catching – in fact, looking at them is burning my retinas. Aside from the fact that they’re way too loud for this poor girl, these Louis Vuitton “Cancan” boots do not go with her dress in the least. Bold boots like these need some crazy fashion sense to work. Where’s Lady Gaga when you need her?

The Louis Vuitton on-line store states that these boots were inspired by “The frivolity of the quintessential Parisienne” and I certainly can’t think of many things more frivolous than a pair of $4,000 gold thigh boots. I almost find something comforting in the fact that the fashion world refuses to turn it’s back on excessiveness despite a gloomy world economy, however, I find these excessive and downright ugly. Aside from the fact that I don’t care for LV’s hour glass styled heels, I find thigh high boots in gold a bit too costumey – not that I have a problem with gold, there’s just way too much with these boots, despite the beautiful pattern.

For a stylish gold boot, I’d prefer the Paris Hilton “Torrance”, of the Oh Deer! “Angel”, or possibly these booties coincidently by the art director of the Louis Vuitton fashion house, Marc Jacobs:

The tiniest bit of gold can go a long way to make a big impact, without looking like an automatonic droid. What do you guys think of the Louis Vuitton “Cancan” boot?
