Avril Lavigne is a beautiful girl. That being said, I wish that her ensembles didn’t always scream Hot Topic like a thirteen year old girl at a Twilight convention:
YOU’RE 24 YEARS OLD, AVRIL. And while I understand that you’re the “motherf**king princess” of bubble gum pop punk crap, it wouldn’t kill you to start dressing your age.
I am well above the age where it is appropriate to be shopping at Hot Topic, however, I still like fun fashion. I love Avril’s shoes, nay, adore the shoes! They’re fun and spunky! However, I think I’d like them better with something other than a frekin’ prom dress. Twenty-four year olds don’t go to the prom. They simply buy alcohol for the minors and get trashed at the after party – unless of course this is her sixth victory lap, in which case, girl’s got bigger problems than her outfit. The shoes and the dress just don’t quite work for Avril – Cyndi Lauper she is not.
Avril’s shoes are by Iron Fist, which is, indeed, sold at Hot Topic. A small part of me died when I realized I liked shoes from Hot Topic. Excuse me while I cut holes in my fishnets and build a shrine to Robert Pattison.

I like it, I think she looks hot, but then again I am just a guy who does not judge people by how they dress. My thoughts are, if people are comfortable and happy, then that is what I think they should wear.
Hate it. Though the shoes could be fun with a different outfit, agreed.
