I have many reason to be spiteful towards French actress Marion Cotillard.
The first couple reason have to do with her role in Public Enemies, which gives her such close proximity to my husband(s) Christian Bale AND Johnny Depp – the latter of which looks like he hasn’t aged a bit in this movie, and his sexy smolder just makes me want to spread him on a cracker, with a Christian Bale garnish – wait, wait, I’m getting off topic.
The second reason is my burning shoe envy over these glorious John Galliano platform wedges:

Marvelous! The staggering height and shimmery crystals are a testament to Galliano’s bold, extravagant style. I love how she paired these babies with a demure Dior dress – the looks just pop off of eachother. I’m not often huge on wedge heels, as they often look clunky – but I do love it when a wedge heel uses that extra “clunk”, if you will, to make a bold statement, as these Galliano ones do. They’re big, they’re bold and they’re making a statement. Gwen Stefani makes a similar statement with her Harajuku Lovers “Payton” wedge:

I can almost hear Stefani singing “Clean out Vivienne Westwood in my Galliano gown!” in “Rich Girl”. Stefani’s designs are obviously very influenced by designers like Westwood and Galliano, with her loud punk and new wave styles. I love the yellow and grey striping on this wedge; these colours are very in style at the moment, and they look fantastic for summer. What do you think?
