Maria Sharapova complemented her tennis-toned legs with black stilettos and a short and sexy blue dress from Thakoon’s fall 2009 collection while attending a dinner party for her sponsor Cole Haan at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. Maria designed these stilettos in a collaboration with Cole Haan. The shoes, complete with 4-inch stiletto heels, had the tall tennis ace towering over everyone.
“Somebody needed to make a shoe that you can stand around for hours in,” Sharapova said, noting that even her stilettos have Nike Air cushioning in them.
Perhaps we can take this as proof that sports and style can mix together. However, I couldn’t find a good shot of her shoes themselves, and more specifically the shoe’s silhouette, so I’m not sure whether I like them. I do find the tied ankle straps to be both cute and sexy, and I like the rounded shape of the toe.
