I’ve always been wary of those Disney starlets. They look cute and innocent and unassuming, and then one day you wake up, and they’re grinding in assless, leather pants, and going batty and shaving their blond locks, while Madonna is tongue kissing them on TV and dry humping them for four minutes.
Miley, who made a recent appearance here on Shoehunting, has claimed that fellow Disney tart Hilary Duff is one of her influences. This makes total sense, as they both seem to be a victim of the fringe!:
Hilary’s fringe is a lot more tolerable – in fact, I don’t mind her boots at all. I don’t usually have nice things to say about the Duffster, but her boots are far more tasteful than Miley’s. Maybe because Hilary is older and more mature, she understands that fringe is not something to be abused, as is the case with Miley’s neon monstrosities. Hilary’s wearing the Minnetonka “Three-in-One Calf Hi Boot”:
These boots come with detachable beads and feathers, and it seems Miss Duff decided only kept the feathers, for a simpler, but still stylish look.
I think the fringe is taking over all these Disney kids. Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens seem to be all over this trend, rather, this trend is all over them – rather, all over their cankles. Is this just what the young kids do today? Excuse me while I go shave Sprocket from Fraggle Rock and glue it to my boots.
