The year of the gladiator is upon us!

Let us bow at the sole of the mighty gladiator boot!

For those of you who are looking for trendy, gladiator boots and booties, but don’t want to pay the big bucks for designer styles, here’s some cool substitutions:

This is the Giuseppe Zanotti open-toe lace up gladiator, which has an elaborate and unique design that can rival that of the Balenciaga and Givenchy gladiator boots.

Here’s the Modern Vintage “Fernanda”, who’s visage mimics that of gladiator shoes we’ve seen on Rachel Bilson.

This is the M.I.A. “Empire”, which is almost the spitting image of the ultra rare Chanel gladiator boot.

Here’s the Guess by Marciano “Delicacy”, a patent leather gladiator sandal that conjures up images of some the designs by Balenciaga, Louboutin and Michael Kors. The L.A.M.B. “Noel” and the Boutique 9 “Rae” also work well.
