The new Glamour girl, Vanessa Hudgens, is a budding fashionista with a penchant for Christian Louboutins. Vanessa is currently featured in the newest issue of Glamour magazine.

In contrast to Gabriella, her fashion conservative character on “High School Musical”, Vanessa likes to “have fun with fashion”. Glamour magazine’s photo shoot chose items that are close to Vanessa’s look and personality. She’s young, fun and flirty. She describes her style as “Feminine and sexy- just like a girl should!” With a cute zebra print mini dress a bright pink patent clutch, and red open toe shoes, Vanessa is a teen style queen. She’s also a star in the Disney phenomenon, High School Musical. She bagged her heart throb co-star, Zach Efron. And she’s got a large following of girls that want to be her.

Vanessa Hudgens is a style inspiration for many girls in the world, but who are her style inspirations? Mary-Kate Olsen, Victoria Beckham, and Nicole Richie

Her bright red open to shoes resemble Steven Luckie. The Steven brand offers celebrity styles that are moderately priced. In Glamour, Vanessa reveals that she isn’t a “label snob”. For example, her current obsession is Free People. For Vanessa, it doesn’t matter what the cost is. So, don’t be surprised if you catch her sporting shoes like Steven Luckie.

If you look closely, Vanessa hasn’t matched her shoes to her clutch. Therefore, she’s breaking the fashion rule of “matching your shoes with your purse”. Here are a few common fashion rules:

  • Don’t wear white after labor day
  • Black and brown don’t match
  • Plus-size women shouldn’t wear form-fitting clothes
  • You can’t mix prints

Do you follow fashion rules? Or are rules meant to be broken?

Does ANYBODY follow ‘fashion rules’? Those are so dated. Those are all so wrong. The only fashion rule that TRULY matters is don’t wear socks and sandals. :)

Yes, socks with sandals is definitely a faux pas.
