Gladiators gone wrong: Heidi Montag in Givenchy and Aerosoles “Chrome Body”
It’s Lauren Conrad! I mean, Kristin Cavallari! I mean - ah, screw it.
Here is what I know about Heidi Montag: I know she’s from some alternate Hollywood reality show universe, where women whom indulge in plastic surgeries are called feminist heroes; she’s dating some dude named Spencer Pratt, who looks like the King of the Douches; she falsely believes she has musical talent; she’s in the fashion industry, like so many other useless reality show tarts who think they have talent.
Here’s something else I know about Heidi Montag: She is not the fashionista she seems to believe she is.
Here’s Heidi as she arrived at the Late Show with David Letterman the other night. As many have already stated, she looked like some walking Barbie doll, right down to the plastic body and hollow head. She wore a hideous pink dress, and paired it with gold Givenchy gladiator booties. These gladiators are different from the sandals we saw on Nicole Richie yesterday; these are far bolder, and require a wearer of equal power to pull them off. Kate Moss, MK OIsen, maybe even Nicole Richie could pull this look off, but not Heidi in her pink nightie. These shoes wear her. Heidi does not look fashionable - she looks like Barbie meets 3CPO’s tranvestite cousin.
My suggestion to Heidi Montag would be to try something else, something like the Aerosoles “Chrome Body” gladiator sandal:
This gladiator sandal features a stacked heel and unique buckle details. It’s very fashionable, but versatile enough to go with just about anything. Far easier to pull off than Heidi’s Givenchy gladiators, these shoes won’t wear you. What do you think of the Aerosoles “Chrome Body” and Heidi’s Givenchy shoes?
