MK Olsen in Jean Michael Cazabat and the KORS “Nymph”

Here’s Mary-Kate Olsen at a John Galliano show in Paris. Looking at this picture reminds of how my mother always thought the Olsen twins looked like treasure trolls. Maybe Lucy Lui is about to rub the jewel in her belly for luck.

Mary-Kate and Lucy Lui are looking quite fashionable, in different ways. Each has their own personal style, and this picture shows the contrast between the two. I don’t care for the furry thing around Lui’s neck, or the oversized Louis Vuitton leopard scarf around MK’s neck, but each style choice is a good representation of their fashion personality. Lucy Lui, high powered New York City fashionista. MK Olsen, vagabond crossed with an Aerosmith groupie.

Lucy Lui wore a pair of the very popular D&G platform mary janes, while MK wore a pair of gladiator inspired sandals by Jean Michael Cazabat. I’m not a huge fan of the gladiator look that’s coming back this season, but some designers, like Cazabat and Project Runway’s Michael Kors, have done a fine job at creating a feminine, gladiator style heel. For a similar look, try these by KORS::

This is the KORS by Michael Kors “Nymph” sandal. A strappy little sandal that is no doubt inspired by today’s gladiator trend, the “Nymph” achieves a very feminine gladiator look. Also available in brown, try these with a cute skirt or dress pants. Michael Kors also makes the “Milan Sandal” and the “Brooke”, for more gladiator inspired sandals.
