Behold, photographic evidence to support the theory that Tyra Banks is now entering the “Drag Queen” stage of her supermodel career.
As my understanding goes, the “Drag Queen” stage of a supermodel’s career begins when the supermodel in question is no longer young enough to look “fresh faced”, thus she instead focuses her energy on being fabulous all the time – usually under five pounds of makeup and a wig.
Notable example: Janice Dickinson.
Tyra Banks has established herself as “Queen Bee” among supermodels. Why, she chooses who the next top model will be! Tyra doesn’t have to be young and fresh faced; she’s fabulous and powerful and you better stay out of her way. She’s the fashion world’s answer to Oprah. Vouge-prah, if you will.
Jay Manuel might say that Tyra is looking fierce, however, I’m not so sure how I feel about Tyra’s skirt. I think a chic pencil skirt would do better to compliment her bodacious curves, however, I do quite like her suede stiletto boots. Tyra’s foxy boots look quite a bit like these by Vaneli:
