Cheeky Monkey: Naughty Monkey’s “Taboo” and “Crocodile Rock”
I absolutely love Naughty Monkey shoes. Aside from having one of the best brand names ever, their shoes are always unique, stylish, edgy and fun. This is why it hurts me to post this:
This is the Naughty Monkey “Taboo” - an appropriate name, seeing as I consider these shoes quite taboo to wear. It features trendy tartan patterning, but fugs it up with wing-tip details. I understand how one might think that the two go together, as both tartan and wing-tips have Scottish ties. However, so do haggis and deep-fried Mars bars - It doesn’t mean they go together.
The combinations of these two styles should bring about some other, superior fashion statement. However, all I’m seeing is a mary jane stiletto wearing wing-tips and a kilt.
However, as I said, I still love Naughty Monkey. Here’s a shining example of why:
This is the Naughty Monkey “Crocodile Rock”. Taking it’s namesake from the famous Elton John tune, this shoe has a sleek, crocodile stamped leather upper. This dangerously sexy shoe also features leather overlays on the vamp, as well as a trendy buckle. The 4″ stacked heel is tapered and has crocodile stamped leather at the top for a bold and unique look.
What does everyone think of the Naughty Monkey “Crocodile Rock”? Funky monkey or gimped chimp?
