Michael Kors Dolly makes a chique moccasin pump

Here’s two words I’d never thought I’d see together:

Moccasin Pump.

This is the “Diane” by Yves Saint Laurent, and it was enough evidence to prove to me that moccasins and pumps should not be cross breeding. I don’t like how the clunkiness of this shoe pairs with it’s excessive moccasin type detailing to make some kind of designer clodhopper for wearing on the North American frontier.

I really love the Diane’s soft brown suede, but I’m bothered by all the tassles and ties. It looks complicated and messy, and for a moment there, I thought I was going to have to turn my back on this moccasin pump idea all together. Then I stumbled up these from KORS by Michael Kors:

This is the KORS by Michael Kors Dolly, a moccasin style pump that keeps the luscious suede of the Diane, but tones down the detailing, creating a beautiful shoe that’s chique, simple and incredibly versatile. The KORS by Michael Kors Dolly is also very sexy with it’s 4″ stacked heel, and it doesn’t cost mucho bucks, like it’s Yves Saint Laurent cousin.

What do you think of the KORS by Michael Kors Dolly and moccasin inspired pumps? Opposites attract or should we keep the moccasins and pumps separated?
