Fall is right around the corner but there’s still time to soak up the sun and bare those pedicured toes!  What pedicure polish colors are you loving right now with your sandals and peep-toe booties?  I asked ShoeHunting Facebook fans and Twitter followers that very question, and here are their responses.  OPI is the favorite brand, and most of our fashion friends are currently loving teal, bright pinks and oranges.  But a few are already looking ahead to autumn colors like green, gold/orange and black.  What do you think of these shades?  Share this post with your friends and add your suggestions in the comments below!

These Boots Are Gonna Walk All Over Cancer

Famed fashion photographer Nigel Barker, forty top models including Coco Rocha and Hannah Holman, and a slew of traditional media, blogarazzi and Nine West fans all came together yesterday in the sweltering heat in the Meatpacking District to take part in the Runway Relief photoshoot.  Participants hope to raise awareness of breast cancer and raise money for charity.  The military-inspired boots are a creation of Nine West and each pair was outfitted with a pedometer so the models’ steps can be tracked between fashion show events.  For every mile of steps the models take, Nine West is donating money to Fashion Targets Breast Cancer.

Ah, to be the airport security officer who has to deal with Lady Gaga…

Here’s Gaga making her way through airport security in Vancouver the other day. Leave it to Gaga to wear a metal studded leather dress through a security checkpoint. Gaga had to go through quite a bit of examination in order to make it through security – I suppose the excuse, “I’m mother effing” Lady Gaga” didn’t work.

Okay. I will admit, despite my disdain for Shauna Sand’s lucite stripper clodhoppers, this year’s lucite trend has grown on my quite a bit, particularly Alexander Wang‘s and Fendi‘s take on it. However, I’m not so sure about these Prada heels that Rita Wilson wore to the Emmy’s this Sunday:

Heidi Klum in Louboutin Pigalili pumps, image: celebrity-gossip.net

I’m keeping this post about the fashion from last night’s Emmy Awards short, as the web is already saturated with images and opinions, for example here, here and here.   Let’s focus on the shoes…Stylescrybe has a great recap of the Red Carpet fashions and footwear on her blog Shoes N Booze.  I have no doubt the award for best (visible) shoes belongs to Heidi Klum for her spiked Christian Louboutin Pigalili pumps.  As if this glamazon needs any help looking long and lean, these stilettos paired with her textured black Marchesa mini made her a sexy standout at the event.  If you agree or disagree, feel free to comment below!

Share I’m happy to see Lindsay out and about again. While the streets of L.A. may never be safe while Linds is out and about, I’m happy to know that rag mags will forever be filled with her many crazy celeb-retard antics and missed court dates. Viva Lindsay! Lindsay’s looking good and healthy now that [...]

Sergio Rossi’s Over The Knee Rain Boot

August 18, 2010

Share I’ve long been a fan of Sergio Rossi‘s contemporary designs, but these sleek, water-resistant latex boots take the cake.  I’m always dreading wet weather because I don’t find rain boots to be particularly attractive or wardrobe-enhancing, but these over-the-knee boots do the job beautifully!  I think I might actually look forward to a stormy day [...]

Posh goes a little Britney in the Christian Louboutin “Toggle” boot

August 10, 2010

Share Posh Spice is my favourite Spice Girl. This is because it tickles me that she’s essentially talentless and sang the least of all the Spice Girls – and yet, she’s still the most famous Spicer just because she married a soccer player. I also usually enjoy her style choices. They’re not always what I [...]
