Sarah Michelle Gellar is Buffy the Puddle Slayer in boots like Jeffrey Campbell “Welly”

Question: Are rain boots purely functional, or do they have a place in the fashion world as well?
Sarah Michelle Gellar seems to think the latter, as I do not see her puddle jumping in the above picture. Perhaps this what one wears to slay vampires? Maybe the leggings act like fashion garlic, and deter those creatures of the night. I know they sure as hell do that to me.
I actually think that when worn correctly, welly’s look quite adorable on anyone. However, Sarah’s outfit kinda makes me think of what Lindsay Lohan might wear to go get her fix after the polar ice caps melt. Not good, Buffy!
