I have a very unique relationship with shoes. You see, when I’m not parading around the internet as a shoe fashionista, I work a regular job where I spend nine hour shifts pounding my feet on hard, tiled floors. As such, I have a deep respect for a good, durable pair of running shoes.

I recently found myself with a new pair of running shoes by Everlast, called “Fighter”. Never having owned a pair of Everlasts, I needed to be sure they would perform. Therefore, I put these shoes to the nine hour shift test.

The “Fighter” is a sleek, lightweight women’s trainer with tons of features that make this shoe appropriate for jogging, sports, or working your feet to the bone during a long day’s work. The padded footbed gives you mucho comfort with a built in support system in the heel. This is excellent for me, as I find the floors to be hardest on my heels. It’s also an added bonus for joggers, too.

At first glimpse, they appeared to be silver, which delighted my inner nerd girl. However, upon seeing them in the light, they shine a beautiful pewter colour, like an old Hollywood starlet who could kick your ass at marathon.

At the end of my day, I pulled my feet out of the Everlast “Fighter” to find that the usual amount of agonizing pain wasn’t present. The padded footbed and support system really helped keep my dogs alive - a “Fighter”, indeed. Although I’m not a jogger - and there’s no way you’ll ever convince me to go jogging - I look forward to the warmer months where I can pull on my Everlast “Fighters” for a great day of cycling!
