In case you didn’t hear, crazy psuedo-celebrity Bai Ling was arrested this week. And no, it wasn’t by the fashion police - although I’m sure those stylish coppers do have a warrant out for her arrest.

Bai Ling was arrested for shoplifting $16 worth of merchandise from a convenience store in LAX airport, a crime she blamed upon a break-up from her boyfriend. I’m not quite sure how being dumped causes you to go and steal gossip rags and a pack of batteries, but anyone who dresses like she does is probably a few fries short of a plate of poutine.

Her outfit is… Interesting. Very “Vivienne Westwood meets lederhosen meets crack - which she got from Bai Ling”. This dress looks as though it was specially designed for Bai, by which of course I mean it was designed to expose the wearers boob by the end of the evening. Classy.

However, Bai has had a hard time lately, so I’m going to focus on the more positive aspects of her outfit, that being her shoes. Bai picked a simple pair of black patent platforms, one of the first wise fashion choices she’s ever made. They look quite a bit like these by Steven by Steve Madden:

This is the Steven “Ndulge”, a black platform pump that will go with whatever schizophrenic outfit you care to pair it with. Hopefully you have more fashion sense than Bai, and will pair them with a sexy cocktail dress or some nice dress pants.
