According to Vogue, a trend that you should expect to see for Spring 2008 is the “Warrior Queen” look. Perhaps designers were inspired by Queen Gorgo, the fierce female role Lena Heady took on in the movie 300.
“Warrior Queen” is a major contrast from the sheer, ultra feminine trends predicted for Spring ‘08. I’m excited for the looks that offer both elegance and strength to the female form. Classical Greek inspired dresses drape to enhance a woman’s soft goddess-like curves, but is able to project the same ferocity of an Amazon warrior queen.
I look to the runway for inspiration. The runway is not a practical place for getting carbon copies. Often times, the catwalk offers the most extreme forms of a certain theme or style. I’m all for subtle looks that still maintain the essence of the catwalk trend.

KORS by Michael Kors Brooke could get more wear from different outfits in comparison to the very distinct gladiator boot. Brooke is perfect for Spring/Summer. The design isn’t clunky, in contrast to your typical gladiator boot. It’s more streamline and versatile, like the rest of the KORS by Michael Kors line.
Would you rather stay true to the catwalk and strut in a gladiator boot or wear the more versatile Brooke?
