I don’t know when Katie Holmes became an alleged “style icon” (I think she’s got a ways to go before she can walk fashionably beside Kate Moss), but I will give her this: She has come a hell of a long way from playing tomboy Joey on Dawson’s Creek:

She’s looking pretty hot here, with her sexy red pumps and matching, giant, trendy Hermès bag (possibly holding Tom Cruise’s ego, I’m not sure). She looks very grown up and mature, and I absolutely love how she paired her red shoes with a simple black and white ensemble. The beautiful splash of red adds some excitement to the monochrome outfit.

I keep on staring at her shoes. They’re so very sexy and tall, I have a vision in my head of her stepping on teeny, tiny Tom Cruise with them. But enough of that. Let’s look at a pair of shoes similar to Katie’s so that you (and me!) can get this hot look:

This is the Steven “Lemore” by Steve Madden. They’re a bit different than Katie’s, but have the same effect. The Lemore has a stacked platform sole, as well as a towering 4.25″ heel, so you can strut tall, and not give a care what your short husband says! The “Lemore” has soft, suede uppers and comes in a whole variety of colours.
