When I first saw these booties, I wanted to hate them. The fabric/suede mixture that the Two Lips “Spatz” bootie is bathed in just seemed wrong to me - like some kind of mutated sock/boot. I gawked at them for a while and realized that deep down inside, there was a fashionista inside of me that was dying to wear them.

The unique pairing of the houndstooth fabric and smooth suede creates a bootie worthy of a daring lady who’s not afraid to be bold with her style. The “Spatz” is reminiscent of Asian fashion designs, while also channelling an edgy, punk feel with it’s safety pin closure. This boot reminds me of Vivienne Westwood’s new wave cum regal designs - without the 6″ platform soles.

Black and white houndstooth is always a winter favourite, and suede always has a cozy and warm feel. These are the kind of boots you don’t dare hide under a pair of pants - it’s an insult to it’s beautiful design. The “Spatz” would look super hot paired with a cute skirt and some dark tights. It features a 3.5″ stacked heel.
