Elves, dwarves and the Dollhouse “Rilley”
Sometimes, when I bookmark shoes that I like - or shoes that I dislike - I’ll write a little description to remind me of the shoe in question. I found an ankle boot kicking around my bookmarks today who’s descriptions was but one word: Dwarves.

This is the Kenneth Cole Reaction “Stone Her”. I’m not sure if the name is a reference to witch shoes, or if it’s actually “Stone-r” as in “I was stoned when I designed these shoes.” Or maybe it’s a reference to the elvish footwear that the dwarves wore when they danced around the tiny Stonehenge monument in This is Spinal Tap. If so, I will assume that these boots are turned up to eleven, and ready to blast us all with their fug.
The 1980’s style pointed-toe flat boot has come back, so much so, that even I almost bought a pair today. However, Kenneth Cole Reaction takes this style to extremes only appropriate for mythological creatures. And even they might prefer this:

This is the Dollhouse “Rilley”, a beautiful suede version of this retro boot. These boots are very stylish and go with just about everything. They’re comfortable and they won’t make you look like one of Santa’s helpers.
What does everyone think of the Kenneth Cole Reaction “Stone Her” and the Dollhouse “Rilley”? Retro stylish or retro tacky?
