Dear Amy Winehouse,

We need to talk. It’s not about the drugs, or the arrests, or the eating disorders. Amy, we need to talk about this:

I understand the appeal of the ballet flat. They’re easy and comfortable and go with just about everything. However, I don’t think these are the best choice for you. They make your feet look clumsy and, well, quite frankly, they look a little beat up. I know they’ve gone through a hard time. I’m just surprised that you’re still wearing them. Actually, I’m more surprised that you haven’t smoked their remains out of a broken light bulb yet.

What I’m trying to say is: It’s time to get a new pair.

I can see you’re a fan of the pink, classic ballet style slipper. Kenneth Cole Reaction makes a good one for you:

Amy, think about this letter the next time you throw on these ratty old things to get blitzed and wander around London aimlessly at five in the morning. They’re excellent for making a crack head look a little less like a crack head.
