Dr. Martens Stephanie: Light at the end an ugly boot tunnel
‘Tis the season to be about BOOTS.
I’ve been recently looking for a new pair of boots for winter. I have lots of boots, but I don’t have the right pair yet. I’ve been searching for something that’s comfortable, casual and fashionable at the same time. As many of you probably know, this is not an easy task to accomplish.
My search for the perfect pair of boots has taken me through the ups and downs of the boot world. I’ve seen boot hell. This is what it looks like:

Have you ever looked at a shoe, and felt that it had somehow stolen your soul?
This offensively slouchy sock/shoe/boot monstrosity is the J. Lisa. I am speechless in the cold shadow of it’s silver, slouchy fug.
I had to trek through some of the darkest trenches of the boot world, and was forced to expose my eyes to furry, retina offending ugliness:

I originally thought that I had stumbled into Jennifer Lopez’s closet, but it turns out that the NaNa Kedma uses faux fur. Unfortunately, it uses way too much, for some cankle making explosion wrapped in a dead cat.
I’ve learned that they even make boots for the Michelin Tire Man’s wife:

My journey through all things BOOTS had successful results. I decided upon a pair of boots from a brand that’s well known for it’s comfort and durability. I went for a pair of comfortable flat boots from Dr. Martens:

This is the Dr. Martens Stephanie High Boot. I’ve had Dr. Marten’s boots before, and they’re some of most durable and versatile boots I’ve worn. I like these ones because they have a more feminine shape to them as oppose to the regular, clunky look of Docs. As always, they feature the Dr. Martens “bouncing sole” and they’re made of leather, so they’ll need weather proofing. I love how these boots have a modest, diagonal zipper for a unique look.
What are everyone’s winter boot favourites? Thoughts about the Dr. Martens Stephanie High Boot?
