Celebrity vanity fashion labels are all over the place these days. From Diddy to Gwen to Jessica Simpson, it seems everyone’s name is gracing the label of designer clothing. I’m wary of the vanity fashion label, as they all just seem to be promotional vehicles, hidden in expensive duds. However, I will say that many of the vanity labels out there do indeed capture the essence of the celebrity in question. Whether or not these celebrities have an essence worth capturing is up to the consumer.

A label that I’ve been browsing recently is J. Lo, the fashion brainchild of singer/actress/diva Jennifer Lopez. I’m not a huge fan of Lopez’s music, or acting, or her existence in general, however, J.Lo’s footwear line does an excellent job of capturing all and everything Jennifer Lopez:

This is the J.Lo Lillie, a perfect example of J.Lo. This, along with many other J.Lo heels, are the type of flashy shoes you wear to go dancing with the girls. It screams “disco diva!” at the top of it’s lungs (Note: Strangely, there are no J.Lo shoes named “Stella”). Lopez has successfully created a line of shoes the reflect her roots, and she did it all without ripping off Rick James this time.

So pick a J.Lo shoe to enjoy for your disco nights, even if you don’t enjoy her music being played at the club. Love don’t cost a thing, and J.Lo shoes won’t break the bank either.
